Stay-at-home mothers

All too often, mothers who opt to stay home with their children are looked upon as either filty rich or unprofessional. That is hardly the case. Most mothers decide to stay home with their children because that's their priority. Here are some groups that provide support to stay-at-home mothers.

1. Mocha Moms (www.mochamoms.org) This is an organization that provides support for stay-at-home mothers of color.

2. 4 Moms at Home (www.4momsathome.com) offers links to various parenting sites, a recipe exchange page and printable lists (chores, grocery, etc.).

3. Bizymoms.com (www.bizymoms.com) This site has great (and realistic) ideas for stay-at-home mothers looking for legitimate ways to bring in a steady income. Lots of great ideas, advice and more from other stay-at-home mothers who have done it successfully.

4. Salary.com (www.salary.com/careers/layouthtmls/crel_display_Cat10_Ser253_Par358.html) did an analysis of what a stay-at-home mother is worth. It is a GREAT tribute to mothers and their worth.

5. Moms Expo (www.momsexpo.com) is another website that introduces stay-at-home mothers to work-at-home opportunities. They also provide recipies, advice and information on parenting.

Mothers (and Fathers) we salute all of you who have chosen the important job of raising the family with dignity and love. Continue to do the great job that you do.
